Celebrating Another Highly Commended Win at TWIA 2025 Regional Finals

This year has seen another incredible milestone for Lucent Hair & Makeup! I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been awarded Highly Commended Makeup Artist of the Year for the South East at The Wedding Industry Awards 2025.

Having entered TWIA for the first time last year, I was over the moon to achieve the Highly Commended award on my first attempt. The experience was invaluable - not just because of the recognition, but also the insights I gained from client feedback, the chance to reflect on my business and how this can be improved and developed, and the joy of attending the awards night itself.

This year, entering again felt both exciting and a little nerve-wracking. With 16 insanely talented Finalists in the Makeup Artist category competing in the South East region, I felt honoured just to be among them, but to win Highly Commended for the second year in a row was the cherry on top!

A heartfelt thank you goes out to my amazing brides who not only trusted me with their wedding glam but also took the time to vote for me and share their thoughtful feedback. Your words mean the world to me and have helped me grow as an artist and as a business owner.

I’m also so grateful to the TWIA judging panel, whose expertise and thorough process make these awards so meaningful. Being recognised by such a prestigious organisation is a true honour.

Every bride’s wedding day is uniquely special, and playing a part in making someone feel beautiful, confident, and calm on such an important day is something I never take for granted. Winning this award is a reflection of the passion and care I pour into every service I provide, from creating flawless bridal looks to ensuring my clients feel truly heard and comfortable.

TWIA has not only helped me connect with more brides across London and the South East but also encouraged me to continue refining my craft and raising the bar in bridal makeup artistry within the wedding industry.

I’m already looking forward to next year’s awards! Who knows? Maybe third time’s the charm, and I’ll be lucky enough to take home the winning title! But for now, I’ll continue doing what I love - working with incredible brides-to-be, helping them achieve their dream wedding looks, and supporting them on their journey to one of the most memorable days of their lives.

To my brides, the judges, friends, and family - thank you for being part of my journey as a bridal hair and makeup artist. It’s your trust, support, and encouragement that keeps me inspired every day.

This experience has been such a highlight of my year, and I’m so grateful to be part of the incredible UK wedding industry. Congratulations to all the other finalists and winners - you’re all amazing, and I can’t wait to see what we all achieve in 2025! Here’s to another year of creating beautiful memories and celebrating love stories.
